Corporate Social Responsibility at Primex

For several years now, we have been trying to continuously improve our performance in sustainability, among other areas, and also set ourselves new targets every year.

Primex is extremely aware of the world around us and has respect for people, the environment and society.
Therefore, we often work with brands that value sustainability and are clearly committed to it.

According to Primex, CSR is not a trend but a real need, the importance of sustainable business is significant and also provides us with benefits.
We are constantly developing and the overview below about Primex is a momentary snapshot and will be updated regularly.
We see the overview as a continuous process and not a final destination.

A social corporate policy has three pillars that must be in balance, the 3 Ps policy:

People
The first pillar covers the social side of corporate social responsibility. The focus here is on people, both inside and outside the organisation. Internally, this means forming a motivating, healthy and high-opportunity working environment. Externally, it may involve people who could use help, such as people with disabilities or in poverty:.

Within Primex, we are mindful of each other, try to motivate our colleagues in additional courses and educations, set common goals which we then aim to achieve together through positive motivation. We never throw away written-off clothing but always reuse it, in cooperation with various charity organisations. Primex has also updated its RI&E, which ensures a better working environment at Primex, promoting the health and safety of its staff. Primex is aware that there are definitely improvements to be made in this area and we mention them in our internal objectives.

Planet
This pillar mainly indicates doing a part to prevent climate change (as far as possible) and protect the environment. This includes reducing waste, energy and Co2, recycling, supporting environmental organisations and using as many sustainable resources as possible. Sustainable business solutions like this come in useful then.

Primex has been separating and reducing waste for years, using solar panels, LED lighting and electric forklifts. Primex reduces its waste by reusing boxes as much as possible; we even have a pickup service for used boxes from our customers. Primex is putting more and more focus on sustainable products in its range, and we adapt our marketing more accordingly.

Profit
The main premise of a CSR policy is that it not only has a positive effect on humanity and nature and bears responsibility for it, but is also ultimately good for the company itself. Consumers who are becoming more conscious but also more critical will increasingly care about honest, sustainable companies and products. But also think of more productive staff as a result of finer working conditions. In the longer term, these CSR actions reward with a higher financial return, in other words profit.

Primex notices that our customers appreciate this commitment and also expect it from their supplier. Of course, having solar panels and reducing our gas consumption contribute to both sustainable business and cost savings. The above-mentioned update of our RI&E also had the additional effect of reducing staff absences.
